We all have seen this sign up in video game stores,Sales.

But is it really a sale or just a big scam? I’ll let you know what video game stores do to trick you into paying way more than what a video game is worth.

That up there is modern warfare 3, i bought this game 2 days ago for £39.99. However today the game is £59.99 with a tag saying: Was £79.99 Now £59.99

Why and how did the game changed from £39.99 to £79.99?!

Well this is what video game stores do to make you pay more for a game.

Let’s say we have a game that costs £30 a lot of people buy this game, but if i simply up the price of the game then nobody would buy it as much and i would end up losing customers, so what i’ll do is up the price of the game from £30 to £50 and then do a sale from £50 to £40. Meaning i am now selling the game for £10 more than i was originally and people will see the big %50 off sale thinking “i am getting a good deal”

This is a big scam from video game stores to sell games for more money then they would before, and for the people that were not aware of this before, well now you know.
